Sorry Wills! Kate Middleton Beats the Prince During a Friendly Race
We've been following the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George every step of the way through this year's royal tour, and their latest stop on Friday brought them to Auckland in New Zealand. Kate Middleton and Prince Will emerged from an aircraft in casual clothing, headed to meet base personnel (and their families) to commend them for their service overseas. Just like Thursday, when the couple attended a WWI memorial, Prince George was unfortunately nowhere to be seen!
After their airport greeting, Will and Kate continued their day in Auckland, heading to the base of the Emirates Team New Zealand, which most famously won back-to-back races in 1995 and 2000 for the America's Cup. Will and Kate boarded their own boats for a friendly race, which accomplished sailor Kate won. It must have been a satisfying win for the duchess, who lost to William during a similar friendly race during their visit to Canada several years ago. The couple also took a trip in the water on a New Zealand invention called Sealegs, which can seamlessly travel from dry land to water and back.
Even though Prince George has been absent from the most recent activities, we still got our fill on Wednesday, when he charmed the other children at the Royal New Zealand Plunket Society. If you need to remember all the other cuteness, you can check out our favorite moments from the tour so far.
