Johnny Depp Wears Amber Heard's Engagement Ring on the Red Carpet!

Fans screamed for Johnny Depp when he set foot on the red carpet at the premiere of his new movie, Transcendence, in LA on Thursday night. The actor was dressed to the nines in a patterned blue jacket and pleated black pants, but all eyes were on his left ring finger, on which fiancée Amber Heard's giant engagement sparkler was firmly placed. During a recent appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman, Johnny explained the diamond switcheroo. "'Why? Why is a grown man wearing a woman's engagement ring?' Because it fit," he told Dave.

With all the excitement over Johnny and Amber's romance, the rumor mill has been churning out plenty of speculative stories lately. Johnny shot down pregnancy reports when he spoke with Savannah Guthrie on Today last week, but the A-lister later suggested he might be open to having more children. "I love kids. I have two, and they're perfect," he told told Entertainment Tonight, referring to his children, Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11. "Man, I'd make 100. But I've got the easy gig, right?"

Johnny wasn't the only name on everyone's lips at the big premiere; Kate Mara made a dazzling appearance in a patterned dress after celebrating her Marie Claire magazine cover the night before. Although Kate has a pivotal role in the science fiction movie, she didn't film a single scene with Johnny. Earlier this week, Kate sat down for an hilarious chat with Ellen DeGeneres, telling the talk show host she finally met Johnny at a recent press junket.
